About the Role: Competitive Salary. Lowe and Behold is looking for a seasoned
Floral Manager with over 10 years of floral experience to join our team. The Floral
Manager oversees the operations of the floral department, ensuring quality and
freshness, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service, while also
designing floral arrangements and supervising staff. This role will be working with our
Sales Representatives, Hardgoods Manager and Operations Manager to ensure all
Events are performed to Lowe and Behold’s standard of excellence while also
managing costs and resources. This full-time role requires someone knowledgeable,
organized, and comfortable with taking the lead on floral projects, with a creative edge
and the ability to develop and lead a team of Floral Designers.
Work Schedule: This full-time salaried position requires you to be at the
Studio/Warehouse, with occasional weekend availability as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and lead Floral Designers to create custom floral arrangements for Client
Events based on proposals from the Lowe and Behold Sales Team.
Adhere to processes for floral production, inventory management, and workflow
to maintain a high standard of service.
Oversee and manage floral inventory, coordinating with vendors for flower and
supply orders/deliveries as needed.
Work with floral suppliers to resolve issues with incomplete/missing floral
deliveries and quality issues.
Keep floral cooler organized and up to date with Event floral needs.
Ensure flowers in cooler are properly rotated, watered, and checked for
freshness and date.
Ensure floral shelves are stocked with supplies required for floral design
Prepare flowers for events, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Assist with the setup and on-site delivery of floral arrangements as required for
events.
Provide direct supervision of the activities of other members of the floral team in
a manner that is operationally effective, motivating and respectful.
Clearly communicate to team members the goals that have been set for the
department, and implementing plans to reach the set goals.
Promote a positive overall team atmosphere that includes cooperation and
teamwork, high morale, positive interpersonal interactions and communications,
and recognition for a job well done.
Providing effective coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations to
improve individual and team performance.
Address employee relations issues and, if needed, effectively work with the Sales
Manager, Owner and/or Human Resource team to resolve issues.
Effectively manage labor costs in a way that successfully balances the
customer’s need for service with the company’s need to closely monitor
expenditures.
Know, comply with, and ensure the team complies with all health regulations,
sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department.
Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual
results.
Actively work to keep your work area and your department as a whole clean,
organized and safe for customers and coworkers.
Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive
customer and peer interactions.
Keep up with floral design trends, incorporating fresh and inspiring ideas into our
floral offerings.
Ensure all new employees receive orientation and training as needed.
Qualifications:
10+ years of professional experience as a florist or in a related floral design role.
Bilingual - Spanish and English
Extensive knowledge of flower varieties, seasonality, and floral care.
Exceptional creative skills, with a strong sense of aesthetics and design.
Proven organizational skills and the ability to develop efficient workflows.
Strong customer service abilities with experience in client and vendor
relationships.
Flexibility to support weekend events as needed.
Physical capability to lift and transport floral arrangements and supplies.
