The 2019 FSFA Sunshine Cup

The Sunshine Cup is awarded to the designer

with the highest cumulative points from

two (2) competitions listed below:

1. Bliss, the Art of the Event. Contestants are asked to design an entry piece for a wedding ceremony to be placed on a 36" round by 42" tall high-top table. One white floor length polyester tablecloth will be furnished. Contestants are to bring with them to the competition all materials including fresh floral products, containers, armatures and props they will use in the display. The design my not exceed overall height of 72” from floor to the top of the design. The design may not exceed an overall width of 36” or the width of the table. Contestants must include an 8x10 framed statement with and explanation of what “Bliss” means to them. Contestants will have one and a half hours to complete the task.

2. Bliss Greenery Bouquet- Fern Trust Cup. Contestants are asked to design an elegant bridal bouquet on an armature. Contestants are to bring with them an armature they have constructed from wire, wood, metal, plastic, bamboo, wicker or any material the contestant chooses as long as it does not contain any fresh floral product.  Fresh product will be added to the armature during the competition. The only fresh material allowed – greenery - will be provided. During the competition, contestants are allowed to use cold glue, u-glue, wire, tape, pins and any other item they wish to use such as ribbon to embellish the design as long as it is not floral material. Designers will have one hour to complete the task.

Tools will not be provided. Competitors Must bring their own tools.

Tools allowed: Floral Knife, Wire Cutters, Ribbon Sheers, Stem Cutters, Needle Nose Pliers and a Stapler

     It can be hand tied, cascade, made in a holder.....you are free to design whatever you want as long as it is a Brides Bouquet. You must use  fresh flowers and your design must be "OVER THE TOP". 

    Bouquets may be Checked in at the Registration Desk in the Convention Lobby on Saturday, June 8, 2019 between 8:00AM and 10:00AM.

    Bouquets will be judged and may be featured during the "Fashion Show Extravaganza Floral Showcase"

    CASH PRIZE will be awarded on Saturday, June 8, 2018 during the President's Awards Dinner and Gala
