Florida State Florist Association offers the opportunity for Member Floral Designers to be Accredited as a Florida State Master Designer "FSMD". The lapel pin above is presented to all designers who have successfully completed the testing process along with a plaque and recognition at our annual awards ceremony.

In order to accredit candidates must attend a mandatory workshop, successfully pass a written examination and meet a minimum standard score on a design ability test. The test will be scored by a team of qualified and accredited evaluators immediately following the designing session which consists of a predetermined number of designs, and predetermined design purposes in a very specific allotted time frame to complete the specified designs.

Only those scoring above the minimum will be inducted as "FSMD".

The fee to test is $250.00 per person per testing cycle.

Once successful each member of "FSMD" must maintain an active voting membership to Florida State Florists' Association in order to maintain their Accreditation.

All workshop, test, and design evaluation will be taught and evaluated using the the following sources:" AIFD Guide to Floral Design Terms, Techniques, and Traditions" , "Profit Minded Florist", and SAF  "Flower and Plant Care and Handling Manual". All Candidates are responsible to acquire these materials on their own.
